Coronavirus: Skype for Business, two other apps legal to use in Oman

Muscat: The Telecommunications Authority (TRA) said it will allow the use of Skype for Business, Voice Over Internet (VoIP), Google Meet and Zoom App during the current coronavirus period.

In a statement issued online, TRA said: “Due to the exceptional circumstances resulting from the spread of coronavirus, it has been decided to allow the use of some internet communication applications such as Skype, VoiP, Google Meet and Zoom App. Organisations can use these applications during this exceptional period.”
