Oman ranked first in Inclusive Internet Index in Middle East

London: The Sultanate has been ranked first in the Middle East and placed 24th globally among 75 countries, according to an Inclusive Internet Index commissioned by Facebook and undertaken by Economist Intelligence Unit.
From the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Sultanate, alongside with Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Egypt were included in the report.
The Sultanate has the highest score among the four Middle Eastern countries included in the index, with an overall rank of 24th out of 75 countries globally selected for the report.
According to the report, the country’s infrastructure, for which it ranks 17th out of 75, is a key strength, thanks in part to a high score for 4G coverage.
