1. Coronavirus: Kuwait announces two-week official holiday

Kuwait announced a two-week official holiday for all sectors and suspended flights to combat the spread of coronavirus.

The head of the Government Communication Center, spokesman for the Kuwaiti government, Tariq Al Muzram said in a press conference: "The government has decided to close private clubs, health institutes, event gathering in all restaurants and cafes halls, including inside the shopping centers.”

2. One coronavirus case in Saudi Arabia recovered

Saudi Arabia announced that the first case of coronavirus has recovered while it recorded 24 new cases, state media reported on Thursday.

This brings the total number of infected cases to 45.

3. US suspends travel from Europe for 30 days

US President Donald Trump has suspended travel with 26 countries in Europe for 30 days to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The sweeping restrictions will not apply to the United Kingdom and US citizens and permanent residents will be exempted.
