COMEX 2017 to begin on March 28

Muscat: Oman’s 27th edition of COMEX Expo will take place for the first time at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center on March 28 until April 1, 2017.
COMEX is the perfect platform to promote e-Government projects and initiatives in the Sultanate where the Information Technology Authority (ITA) and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and other government entities will participate.
The ‘e.oman’ pavilion will include six main pillars including, innovation zone, future technologies that includes ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Smart Cities’, a business center, an e-Transformation section, an e-Learning section and a security section; in addition to government entities section in which they will showcase their services and launch new eServices.
Some government and private sector organizations from the GCC countries are also participating in the exhibition.
Dr. Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, proposed, “Through our participation in COMEX 2017, we seek to introduce the most crucial and effective projects and initiatives undertaken by ITA within the ‘e.oman’ strategy.”
“In addition, to present ITA’s efforts in cooperation with various government and private institutions in the provision of IT infrastructure and speed the pace of the e-Government transformation,” he added.
