Oman's health ministry issues statement on travellers from Egypt

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has issued a statement clarifying the steps that travellers who returned from Egypt after February 22, have to take.

The ministry said in its clarification: "With reference to the statement issued by the MoH on March 8, 2020 on imposing quarantine on the travelers coming from Egypt, the Ministry calls upon all travellers who returned from Egypt after the date of February 22, to adhere to a home quarantine and call the MoH contact centre at 1212 or visit the nearest health centre so that they can guide them."

"If any symptoms such as fever, cough or sore throat appear, they should call the ministry to get the required health care. Wearing a mask is necessary when visiting the health institution. They also should avoid using public transportation," the Ministry added.
