Muscat: A groove of air depression will impact weather over parts of the Sultanate this week, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said on Saturday.
Speaking to Times of Oman, an official from PACA said: “A groove of air depression will impact weather over the northern part of Oman.”
"There will be opportunities for light to medium rains on Monday and Tuesday, 9th and 10th of March, on the coast of Oman Sea, parts of Governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Muscat, and some areas of the Hajar Mountains, followed by cold winds."
Meanwhile, PACA has said that there will be clear skies over several parts of the Sultanate with the spread of low clouds and fog on parts of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates on Saturday.
The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA), said in its weather forecast: “Mainly clear skies over the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over parts of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.”
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 27 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees in Muscat. The temperature will range between 30 degrees and 22 degrees in Salalah, 28 degrees and 18 degrees in Khasab, 27 degrees and 18 degrees in Sohar, 27 degrees and 18 degrees in Sur, 29 degrees and 16 degrees in Nizwa, 30 degrees and 18 degrees in Al Buraimi and 30 degrees and 16 in Ibri.
The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Saturday is 32 degrees in Thumrait, Dhofar governorate and the lowest is 8 degrees in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar.”
