Photography exhibition organised at Indian School Muscat

Muscat: Indian School Muscat Alumni Association in collaboration with the ISM Photography Club organised ISM@40 Photography Exhibition on February 11 on the school premises.
The exhibition, in progress, has attracted visitors in great numbers. Mohammed Al Zubair graced the occasion. Accompanied by Kanaksi Gokaldas Khimji, and other guests, the chief guest lit the ceremonial lamp inaugurating the exhibition christened ‘Colour & Shades’.
The presence of Kanaksi Gokaldas Khimji, doyen of the Indian Community in the Sultanate and the first President of the School Managing Committee, Dr. Avirat Vaishnav, President ISM Managing Committee, former SMC presidents, the members of the SMC and distinguished guests added splendour to the event. Principal, Srinivas K. Naidu, the vice principals, Asst. vice principals, heads of various Departments, parents and students were also present.
Dr. Aju Koshy Samuel, alumni and chairman, parent & community, member of the academic sub-committee, welcomed the gathering. Assistant Head boy Tisjy Mohan and Asst. Head Girl Samantha Pinto, in a symbolic gesture, presented potted plants to the guests.
The exhibition encapsulating the 40 years of this pioneer and magnificent educational institution, its achievements as well as its progress from a small opening in 1975 to the sprawling temple of learning that it is today, was appreciated very well by all.
Designed to showcase the display of approximately 1,300 photographs with contributions from the school Photography Club and students as well as Alumni, it leaves the visitors fascinated and admiring.
Ms. Shaheen Kasmani, Asst. Vice Principal, Pre-Primary and alumni, and, Muneer Toprani, President, Indian School Muscat Alumni Association presented a memento to the chief guest. Deep Wilson, Vice Principal, Senior Section proposed vote of thanks. Geeta Chauhan, Asst. Vice Principal, Senior Section coordinated the event meticulously.
