Muscat: Two Bangladeshi teenagers were saved from drowning in a lake in Quriyat on Thursday, a tweet by the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) read.
They were taken to the hospital. They were found in an unconscious state. Their condition is stable now, the PACDA tweet added.
The teenagers were on their way to school when they slipped into the sinkhole, the PACDA said.
The PACDA said that the teenagers were not swimming.
The Ministry of Tourism has put up sign boards near the sinkhole warning the residents. The PACDA has urged people to adhere to the warning.
