Oman Air flight from India undergoes emergency evacuation in Muscat

Muscat: Oman Air on Tuesday announced that passengers on a flight from India underwent an emergency evacuation at the Muscat International Airport.

A statement online by Oman Air said: “Oman Air flight WY 284, operating from Bengaluru had a smoke indication while arriving on stand at Muscat International Airport this (Tuesday) evening at 6:24 pm.”

“As a precautionary measure and in accordance with safety procedures, the Captain initiated an emergency evacuation.”

Oman Air also said, “All guests and crew on this flight disembarked the plane safely and were transported back to the terminal building for their onward journey.”

“Oman Air apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused to our guests.”
