Bids invited for Oman auto mall

Muscat: Bid to develop the Sultanate's first Central Auto Market in Khazaen City, Oman, have been invited by Oman Logistic Company, a tweet from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.
Uploading the tender invitation and details, the ministry has invited potential investors to bid to develop the Auto Mall within 245,000 sqm in Kahzaen City, which is strategically located at a few kilometers from Muscat International Airport on the way to Sohar.
According to Khazaen’s official website, Khazaen in Oman has been planned around the integration of the logistics network; creating a multimodal destination that will link sea ports with the airports, and the roads with the planned railway network.
The city is planned to be more than just a logistics hub to increase the competitiveness of all Omani ports.
Khazaen is planned to be developed in five phases.
“Depending on the market demand and the experienced growth, each phase is expected to take five years. The Dry Port and Block One will form the nucleus, growing from a logistics hub into a fully integrated and comprehensive city,” the website adds.
