Muscat: His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait received His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers at Al Alam Palace yesterday.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sayyid Fahd pointed out to the deep-rooted and historic relations binding the Sultanate and Kuwait and the mutual esteem and amicability between the leaders of two countries. Expressing his happiness and of the Omani people to this visit, he said it will have positive effect on the cooperation between the Sultanate and Kuwait.
This has been very clear at the meeting between the Emir of Kuwait and His Majesty the Sultan which reviewed the relations and means of developing them.
The two leaders also discussed the international developments which require continuous regional and international coordination.
Sheikh Sabah expressed his happiness for visiting the Sultanate on the invitation of His Majesty the Sultan. He thanked and appreciated His Majesty, the Omani government and people for the warm reception he received.
He also hailed the official talks he had with His Majesty and pointed out that the shared views reflected the deep-rooted bilateral relations which both countries are keen to promote. He also praised the outcomes of this meeting which will have positive reflection on the people and the GCC states.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, His Highness Sayyid Kamel bin Fahd Al Said, Assistant Secretary General at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Hamed bin Said Al Ibrahim, Sultanate's accredited ambassador to Kuwait and the delegation accompanying the Emir of Kuwait.
