Bootleg booze seized in raid on house in Oman

Muscat: Police and municipality officials raided a house in Hamriya and confiscated a consignment of booze.

Expatriates used the rooftop to conduct commercial activities without obtaining a municipal license such as washing clothes and repairing billboards, all without a licence.
During routine field visits to markets and restaurants including commercial and residential buildings, inspectors noticed suspicious activities in and around the house in Hamriya, Ruwi which forced them to monitor the situation.
Washing machines and laundry products were also seized.
