Pharmacy closed down in Oman

Muscat: A pharmacy has been closed down in Oman for illegally inflating prices of face masks.

In a statement issued by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection ( PACP ), said: "A pharmacy in Muscat was closed for illegally hiking prices of face masks by exploiting the current conditions."

An official from (PACP ), has also confirmed to Times of Oman. “The Authority has closed one of pharmacies in the Governorate of Muscat due to illegal inflation of prices of masks on Wedneday "

"The Public Authority for Consumer Protection has launched a campaign against all pharmacies to check prices and to take necessary measures.” the official added.

The consumer protection has confirmed that it will not be easy to take immediate necessary legal measures on pharmacies and medical supplies stores that are exploiting the current conditions, stressing that inspection teams are conducting raids in the markets throughout the day.
