Oman's Majlis A'Shura deputy chairman receives Iranian official

Muscat: Eng. Mohammed bin Abu Bakr Al Ghassani, Deputy Chairman of Majlis A'Shura received at the Majlis' headquarters on Monday Sayed Ahmed Reza, Advisor to the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.
The guest handed over a written message from Dr. Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council. The guest was briefed on the Majlis, its roles, legislative and oversight powers.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them, particularly in the parliamentary field, as well as promoting the existing coordination and cooperation between the two councils.
On his turn, the guest hailed the democratic process in the Sultanate and the achievements in this side.
