Muscat: The Ministry of Health has confirmed that no cases of Coronavirus have been registered in Oman and that legal measures will be taken against those who spread rumours.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Health said: “An official source at the Ministry of Health confirmed that no cases of Corona virus have been recorded."
The Ministry affirmed the importance of believing information from official sources. It called on everyone not to pay heed to the rumours or to promote them.
“All legal measures will be taken against rumour publishers," the statement added. The reaction came as a result of rumours of 7 people testing positive for the coronavirus in Muscat.
