Refunds for poor service thanks to Oman consumer watchdog

Muscat: More than OMR1000 has been reimbursed to consumers in Barka.
The Department of Consumer Protection in Barka was able to retrieve OMR 1270 to two consumers after they filed complaints against two manpower services establishments.
The complaints filed were regarding tardiness and procrastination in handing over maids at a specific time.
The persons responsible also did not answer phone calls and text messages.
As a result, the consumer protection summoned the two company bosses responsible and through mutual agreement; the first consumer received OMR700 back while the second got OMR570.
