Some parts of Oman to receive rainfall

Muscat: Northern parts of the Sultanate will see the flow and spread of clouds on Wednesday. The governorates of Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi and Musandam could see scattered rainfall later in the day, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).

In its weather forecast, PACA said, “Clear to partly cloudy skies over the northern governorates with chances of isolated rain over Musandam, part of Al Hajar mountains and Oman Sea coast.”

"The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 27 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees in Muscat, 27 degrees and 21 degrees in Salalah, 22degrees and 18 degrees in Khasab, 25 degrees and 20 degrees in Sohar, 26 degrees and 18 degrees in Sur, 26 degrees and 15 degrees in Nizwa, 23 degrees and 18 degrees in Buraimi and 24 degrees and 16 degrees in Ibri.”

The Oman News Agency said, "The lowest temperature recorded was in Jabal Shams at 8 degrees C."

“Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over south Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates. Chances of dust raising winds over deserts and open areas of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah governorates, ” the statement added.
