Three arrested for beating expat to death, injuring another

Muscat: Three suspects have been arrested for the murder of an expat and for injuring another, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the victim who sustained injuries after he was beaten by the accused was discovered after he shouted for help from inside a locked room, at a house in Dhofar.
In a statement put out by ROP, officials said, "The Criminal Investigation Department led by Dhofar Police and in cooperation with Al Wusta Police nabbed three suspects for the murder of an Asian national and injuring another. The case was discovered when the injured victim called for help from inside a closed room, and he was banging on the door.
"After breaking the room door, it was discovered that there was an injured person inside and another person was murdered. The injured person was beaten by the accused and the one who was murdered was hit by wooden object, which led to his death."
Two of the accused were arrested in the wilayat of Haima, while another was arrested in the wilayat of Thumrait. They have been referred to Public Prosecution for further investigation and trial.
