Muscat: Parents should help their children during the examination and help them to relieve their stress, the Indian School Muscat said on Monday.

In a circular issued on Monday, the school laid down 12 tips for parents to help children during the examination. “Parents should provide a peaceful environment and guide their child for planning and setting a time table besides motivating them, to begin with, studies with easy topics and then move on to difficult ones,” the school said.

The school also suggested that the parents should praise their efforts of children and help them to set realistic goals and encourage them to clarify their doubts with teachers. “The parents should also aware of child’s strength and challenges and they should spend quality time with their child,” it said.

The parents should also discuss the student’s fears and anxieties and provide them with the necessary support. “They should also avoid comparison of their child’s performance with others and engage their child in activities that will boost their confidence,” it added.
