Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate in Bangkok confirmed the safety of citizens during the indiscriminate shooting incident that took place at a shopping centre in Nakhon Ratchasima Province (Korat), northeastern Thailand. No one was injured and communication with the competent authorities continues, the Embassy said.

According to Oman News Agency (ONA), “Thai official sources said that the indiscriminate shooting started on Saturday evening. As a result, there were casualties and injuries.”
“The Embassy would like to emphasize the safety of the Omani citizens, as no one was injured and communication with the competent authorities continues. On Sunday morning the Thai authorities officially confirmed the killing of the perpetrator and the rescue of all trapped inside the complex,” they added.
