Video: Showers fall over parts of northern Oman

Muscat: Rain was recorded on Tuesday evening in Al Batinah and Al Buraimi over the course of several hours.

These showers were described by observers as "occasional" and came after a statement by Oman's meteorology department, which said "Starting from Tuesday and increasing over the next four days, there are chances of rain-laden clouds, sometimes with thunder, being formed over Musandam and Al Hajar mountains and surrounding areas.

"These clouds should spread to coastal areas," the statement added.
