Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development has advised parents not to send kids to the nursery if they are suffering from high temperature, cold, cough, pharyngeal congestion and difficulty in breathing. It also asked nurseries not to permit children from virus hit countries or those who have been to such countries in the last six months. The Ministry also called on nurseries to provide sterilisation devices for children and staff, and also asked to ensure that the hands are washed with soap and water at all times. Nurseries should not recruit or train any workers before their medical tests are completed from govt approved medical centres, the Ministry stressed. The Ministry, represented by the Child Affairs Department, thanked the owners and managers of the nurseries for “their concern and care for our children”.
