Oman Jobs: Pact signed to create 1,878 jobs for Omanis by 2020

MUSCAT: Riyada, the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Silatek and CC Energy Development to launch Tahfeez initiative which aims to create 1,878 jobs for Omanis by 2020.
Tahfeez, which means to ‘Motivate’, is part of the job market and employment lab at Tanfeedh. The initiative will cost OMR100,000 during the first year of its launch.
One of the main goals of the initiative is to analyse and evaluate job-seekers and prepare them for entrepreneurship where Silatek will conduct a series of personality tests and give the job-seekers an accounting exam to determine who is the best to take on certain jobs.
Khalid Al Huraibi, Acting CEO for Riyada and head of the Tahfeez team said, “The MoU is considered a gem in this cooperation which aims to create job opportunities for Omanis in SME projects. Riyada will always support those who present their project to ensure that they are successful and to provide advice and consulting.”
