Registrations through Oman's Invest Easy portal grow by 450%

Muscat: More than 193,000 commercial transactions were registered through Invest Easy Portal during 2016, according to latest data. At 193,861 compared to 35,340 transactions during the same period in 2015 the registrations saw a growth of 448.6 per cent.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry pointed out that such transactions included new commercial registrations, renewal of a commercial registration, adding activities, amendment to the trade names, commercial and individual import permits, release certificates and certificates of origin.
The Ministry pointed out that the investors have happily switched to electronic service as the portal (www.investeasy.gov.om) provides 77 services 24x7.
