RAFO celebrates graduation of new batch of pilots and air officers

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) celebrated at the military parade ground of Ghala Base and the Sultan Qaboos Air Academy today the graduation of a new batch of pilots and air officers, as well as university officers course in a ceremony held under the auspices of Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council.
The Chairman of the State Council presented the aviation wings to the graduating pilots. He also presented the sword of honour to Flying Officer Emad bin Yasser Al Kalbani, who achieved the top rank during the course.
The graduates performed the RAFO anthem, took the oath of loyalty and allegiance and chanted thrice long live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. A number of RAFO air fighters passed in front of the parade ground to mark the occasion. The music band then performed the national anthem.
The ceremony was attended by a number of their highness, the Chairman of Majlis A’Shura , advisors,, commanders of the SAF and other security apparatuses, several honorable members of the State Council, members of the Majlis A’Shura, undersecretaries senior SAF and other security service officers , military attaches of sisterly and friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate.
