The rain was caused due to areas of low pressure over several parts of Oman, and thus turned the country into a beautiful green colour.
In Muscat Governorate, Jabal Hamria, Wadi Kabir and Quriyat could be seen draped in lush green colours while Shinas, Saham, Al Khaburah and Sohar in North Al Batinah. Jabal Akhdar in Al Dakhliya and Jabal Surat in Ibri which is in Al Dhahirah governorate had the same scenery.
People across the country were seen to be enjoying the weather that brought in this beautiful sight for sore eyes. Many opted for a day trip to the green mountains, taking maximum opportunity of the beauty while some stayed the night under the light of the stars.
In addition to that, according to Oman Meteorology, the flow of clouds over Muscat and other governorates of the Sultanate are expected to continue.
“Clear to partly cloudy skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of isolated rain over Musandam and South Al Sharqiyah governorates and along parts of the coastal areas of Oman Sea and Al Hajar mountains and adjoining areas. Chances of dust rising and wind over deserts and open areas and chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah governorates,” Oman Meteorology said in a statement.
“Over most of the Sultanate, winds will be northwesterly light to moderate and fresh over Musandam and along the coastal areas of Oman Sea and over deserts and open areas,” they added.
