Located at Mirbat Tower 1 in Al Ghubra, The Chocolate Room is an Australian franchise cafe and chocolatier that opened in February 2014. They serve delicious handmade Belgian chocolates, iced and hot chocolate-infused drinks, a selection of savoury treats, and all kinds of creatively presented, sweet chocolate desserts, like the Mango Mania, a chocolate crepe loaded with dense mango-based salsa, sweetened cream cheese, and a brush of sugar dust and cookie crumbles, served with vanilla ice cream on the side. The sweet and tangy combination is unforgettable.
They also have other playful combinations, like the Burj Al Berry—vanilla pancakes layered with strawberry jam, blueberry filling, berry mousse, fresh mixed berries, and chocolate ice cream. But the most popular offering is a bit less subtle. The Choco-Xplode is a ball-shaped chocolate treat filled with soft chocolate brownies, salted caramel mousse and vanilla ice cream, topped with nuts and served with hot chocolate sauce on the side. When the hot chocolate sauce is drizzled over the ball, the chocolate orb melts and the aroma of freshly backed brownies fills the air. The taste was blissful, if only the brownie portion had been larger.
The Chocolate Room also offers a great selection of ice blended drinks, coffees, teas, and mocktails and the exterior ambiance is a great spot for a romantic evening with low-key lighting, beautiful decorative plants, and a fountain.
