Fog alert issued in Oman

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has issued a fog alert which will lead to poor visibility in most of the governorate with temperatures varying from 1 degree Celsius in Saiq, to 24 degree Celsius in Salalah.

Temperatures will be 17 degree Celsius in Khasab, 19 degree Celsius in Buraimi, Ibra, and Rustaq, 20 degree Celsius in Ibri, Suhar, Sur, and Masira, 21 degree Celsius in Nizwa, and Muscat, 23 degree Celsius in Haima.

"Clear to partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Oman sea with chance of isolated rain and mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with chance of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over parts of Al Dhahirah and Al Wusta governorates,” Oman Meteoeology Department said in a statement on Thursday.

"Over most of the Sultanate wind will be northerly to northeasterly slight to moderate occasionally fresh along most of the Sultanate coasts,” the statement added.
