LIVE BLOG: 'Direct effect' of tropical storm Luban on Dhofar today
Muscat: Dhofar will continue to see heavy rains over the next 12 hours, with rough seas expected along the coastal areas of the governorate.
According to a report from the National Committee for Civil Defense (NCCD), Dhofar will be under the effects of tropical storm Luban "for the next 12 hours".
Officials added that thunderstorms will be seen over the western part of Dhofar. "Heavy rains are expected in the coming hours, especially in Dhalkut and Rakhyut," NCCD said, adding that sea waves are expected to reach 6-8 metres high.
