Muscat: Qatar will observe three days of mourning, following the passing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
A statement from the Qatar News Agency said: “His Highness, the Emir of the country, sends a telegram of condolences to the sister Sultanate of Oman upon the death of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed bin Taymur, asking the Almighty, the Most High, to glorify him with the mercy of his mercy, to inhabit his vast gardens, and to inspire the honourable royal family and the brotherly Omani people, patience and solace.
“His Highness the Emir orders that the mourning be declared in the country for a period of three days, following the death of the deceased, God willing, Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taymur,” QNA went on to say.
“His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior sends a message of condolence to the sister Sultan of Oman on the death of the late Sultan, Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur, asking the Almighty God to protect him with the mercy of his mercy and to accommodate him in his gardens and to inspire the royal family and the Omani people patience and solace,” added QNA.
