Shura chief receives top Egyptian official

Muscat: Khalid bin Hilal Al-Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura received at the Majlis headquarters on Wednesday Dr Saleh Abdulrahman Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Central Agency for Organisation and Administration (CAOA) of Egypt and his accompanying delegation, currently on an official visit to the Sultanate.
Al Ma’awali commended the strong bilateral and historical relations between the Sultanate and Egypt.
He stressed the importance of exchanging expertise between the two countries and ways of developing them in various fields. Majlis Chairman gave an overview on the Shura process in the Sultanate and its stages of development over more than three decades.
Dr. Saleh Abdulrahman Al Sheikh praised the development witnessed in the legislative and oversight work in the Sultanate. He pointed out that such visits contribute to exchanging experiences and unifying visions in various fields and promoting cooperation in various levels, especially in the legislative, oversight and administrative aspects.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Nadabi, Secretary General of Majlis, members of Majlis, and officials from the Ministry of Civil Service.
