London Symphony Orchestra
Named by Gramophone as one of the five top orchestras of the world, the London Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest of London’s symphony orchestras. Conducted by Gianandrea Noseda with the participation of the celebrated Russian pianist Denis Matsuev, music aficionados will be treated to two nights of extraordinary concerts. The first day will witness the music of Mussorgsky’s Dawn on the Moskva River, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor with Denis Matsuev playing Liszt’s Totentanz, fantasy for piano and orchestra. The second evening will showcase Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, which will be followed by Tchaikovsky’s magnificent Symphony No. 5 in E minor.
