Chances of snow in parts of Oman this weekend

Muscat: There are chances of rain in Musandam, Al Buraimi, North and South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat and North and South Sharqiyah starting from Thursday evening until Sunday, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).

PACA also predicted the possibility of snow in some areas in its forecast which said, "Continued chances of rains affecting the northern governorates of the Sultanate in Musandam, Al Buraimi, North and South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat and North and South Sharqiyah, staring from Thursday evening until Sunday.”

“Chances of a significant decrease in temperatures coinciding with the expected weather conditions which may lead to the formation of frost in mountainous areas, with the possibility of snow in the high mountain areas. The state of the Sea may range between medium to rough,” PACA added.
