OAA honours champions of Oman Freestyle Drift

Muscat: The second round of Oman Freestyle Drift 2019-2020 season launched on sponsored of Hisham bin Juma Al Sinani, member of the Council of Oman Automobile Association (OAA), on Friday evening.

The judgement commission of the second round were Saud Al Rawahi, Abdullah Al Mamari, and Ahmed Al Yahmadi, which they divided the winners to two aspects, four-wheel drive cars and sedan cars.

The four-wheel drive cars winners are the racer Waleed Al Jadidi as the third place, the racer His Highness Sayyid Dhu-Kufl Al Said as the second place, and the racer Mohammed Al Jabri as the first place.

The sedan cars winners are the racer Mohammed Al Dhamani as the third place, the racer Al Mundher Al Saidi as the second place, and the racer His Highness Sayyid Dhu-Kufl Al Said as the first place.

Hisham Al Sinani, board member at OAA said in a statement, “We are glad for the attendance and the interaction from the racers in the race track, there are a good Omani talents and nice compete in the field of motor sport, this is one of the activities that the association devotes to youth interested in motor-sport in the Sultanate.”

“In the next days there will be international championships to be hosted in the Sultanate, and these Omani talents will be present and prominent in these competitions.” Al Sinani added.

Al Sinani concluded his statement by inviting the youth that interested in motor sport by taking the advantage of the association's facilities and the designated arenas due to the availability of security and safety conditions there.

The racer Mohammed Al Jabri the winner of the first place for the four-wheel drive cars said, “I had difficulty while drifting the car at the corners of the track, but I controlled the situation by using the gas and clutch pedal.”

“I advise the youth to practice their talents in car drifting at arenas that dedicated to this hobby to avoid any accidents in the future,” he added.
