Haya Water signs OMR1.77 million agreement

Muscat: As a contribution to In Country Value (ICV), Haya Water signed an agreement to supply chemicals with Oman Chlorine Company. The total value of the five-year contract is more than OMR1.770 million.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Haya Water by Eng. Hussain bin Hassan AbdulHussain, Haya Water’s CEO, and Sulieman bin Mohammed Al Yahyaei, the Oman Chlorine Chairman on behalf of the supplying Company.
Based on the agreement, Haya Water will receive more than 23 million litres of the sodium hypochlorite and hydroxide. Those materials are considered to be an essential substance needed for wastewater treatment and according to the approved specifications and standards.
Haya Water’s CEO stated that this agreement comes within the framework of reinforcing the Country-value, as they manufacture these chemicals in the Sultanate. Moreover, the pact also comes in-line with the government’s direction to give priority to the local market products, which have proven their quality either in the local or international markets.
Sulieman bin Mohammed Al Yahyaei, Oman Chlorine Company’s Chairman said, “We are happy to sign this agreement with Haya Water which is considered to be one of the leading companies in the field of wastewater treatment.”
He added, “Our products are compatible with Haya Water requirements and we are proud that supplying the local and international markets with Omani industries that have proven their quality internally and externally.”
