Oman condemns attack on US embassy in Baghdad

Muscat: Oman on Thursday condemned the attack on the US embassy in Baghdad.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said: “The Sultanate condemns the attack on the United States embassy in Iraq. It is a violation of international agreements and norms.”

On Tuesday, dozens of protesters broke into the US embassy compound in Baghdad, smashing a main door and setting fire to a reception area.

“The Sultanate appreciates the efforts made by the Iraqi government to overcome this,” the Ministry added
