Over OMR 1,000 recovered by consumer protection authority in Oman

Muscat: A manpower recruitment office has been ordered to pay a fine of OMR 500 and return an amount of OMR 1,250 to a consumer from Sohar.

"The Court of Sohar First Instance recently issued an adjudication against manpower recruitment office and issued a conviction and a fine of OMR 500 and obliged him to return amount of OMR 1,250," the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) said.

The PACP called on all suppliers to consider the terms and conditions for providing services and noted that violation of these conditions is an explicit violation of the Consumer Protection Law.
