Upcoming Performances

Die Zauberflöte – The Magic Flute

Written by Mozart, the Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) was first performed at a suburban theatre in Vienna and was an instant sensation. As a tribute to the inaugural season of the House of Musical Arts, ROHM has created an original production of the same. Drawing inspiration from Oman’s culture, traditions, and values, based in the country, and artistically staged by Davide Livermore, this production showcases the strong connections between the cultural heritage of the Sultanate and Arab customs with the universal themes of wisdom and virtue as depicted in Die Zauberflöte. Albina Shagimuratova plays the Queen of the Night, Antonio Poli comes in as Tamino, and Markus Werba is Papageno. The opera will be performed by “I Barocchisti” Orchestra, and conducted by Diego Fasolis.

Dates: 2nd, 3rd and 4th January, 2020
