Oman on Thursday witnessed a partial and annular solar eclipse which lasted about two hours and 27 minutes.
Hundreds of people turned from across the country to catch a glimpse of the annular solar eclipse.
“The annular eclipse lasted for approximately three minutes in the areas located in the transit path of the annular eclipse, which are the governorates of Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliya, Al Wusta and Ash Sharqiyah South, while the rest of the Sultanate witnessed only a partial eclipse.” - Oman News Agency
The eclipse started before sunrise at 6:31 am, local time and peaked at 7:39 am, continuing until 8:58 am.
