Muscat: Issues related to developing investment in the craft sector and improving services rendered to craftsmen were discussed by the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI).
The PACI Board held its 3rd meeting for 2016 under the chair of Sheikha Aisha bint Khalfan Al Siyabiyah, Chairperson of PACI.
The Board approved several decisions made to improve craft performance and work to ensure the continuity of projects and programmes for the development of craft sector in the Sultanate.
The Board also discussed PACI land plots offered for investment and partnership with NGOs and the private sector in the different wilayats of the Sultanate.
The PACI Board also touched on the craft initiatives that have been implemented during the past period.
The Board reviewed PACI’s future plans and programmes.
PACI seeks to launch several effective initiatives for the craft sector through the implementation of projects in various
governorates of Oman.
The aim of these initiatives is to increase the growth of craft industries by adopting craft technologies that promote innovation in the craft sector.
This in turn will ensure effective marketing and promotion of the craft sector.
