Fines, jail time in Oman for false price tags on goods

Muscat: A shop owner was sentenced to three months in jail for putting false price tags on products, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) said.
In addition to the jail term, the primary court in Rustaq slapped the accused with a fine of OMR2,000.
Another shop in the same wilayat was found to be practicing a similar scam.
The shop was charged for pasting two different price tags on some items. The court imposed a fine of OMR2,000 on the shop.
