Cyclone Luban: Citizens, residents asked to evacuate parts of Dhofar

Muscat: The National Committee for Civil Defense (NCCD) has called on citizens and residents to move out of low lying areas in western parts of Dhofar and head to shelters, with Cyclone Luban approaching the southern coast of Oman.
NCCD said in a statement online: "Due to the expected rainfall from the direct impact of the tropical situation of Luban, the National Committee for Civil Defense appeals to citizens and residents in the western parts of Dhofar governorate to move away from the lowlands, with shelters having been provided in different areas."
