Al Fizayah Beach is a five kilometre-long quiet and secluded stretch of soft white sand, clear water and a stunning landscape in the Dhofar governorate.
Considered to be one of the best beaches in Oman, it is located in the western part of Salalah, about 64km away from Salalah International Airport.
Reaching the beach is simple. About half an hour drive away from Mughsayl Beach and after passing Marneef Cave, the road will lead straight to Al Fizayah. The journey to the beach is filled with thrilling adventures and unforgettable scenery and the use of a 4×4 vehicle is highly recommended.
White sand beach
According to Oman’s Ministry of Tourism, “Located west of Salalah, past Mughsayl Beach, a hairpin road leads to the stunning white sand of Fizayah Beach. Fazayah Beach (also spelled as Al-Fazaiah or Al-Fizayah) is one of the best beaches in Oman. It is a five kilometre-long pristine white sand beach with clear water and a stunning landscape in the back-ground.
“An experienced driver in 4×4 vehicle will surely be able to take you there,” added the ministry. “Your journey of Salalah is incomplete without a trip to white sand beaches of Mughsayl and the blowholes overlooking Marneef cave. The blowholes are also referred as Mughsayl’s natural fountains by the tourists, with the heights of the water jets varying, depending on the season. During the Khareef, they can get as high as up to 28 metres. A unique path taken on foot, leads you on a journey that sees you start your walk from the beach, and end up at a series of blowholes, on the other side of a cave you’ve just been through.”
