Oman Royal Cavalry’s 'Fareedah' wins first place in Sharjah

Muscat: The Royal Cavalry of the Royal Court Affairs (RCA) continues to achieve excellent results in the various horse racing events and the team’s latest achievement came in the Sharjah Horse Races when mare ‘Fareedah’ finished joint first on Saturday.
In the 1200m race, ‘Fareedah’ and ‘As Maydan’ of Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasmi crossed the finishline at the same time in a photo finish.
After watching the videos, the jury found that the two horses had crossed the finishline at the same time.
It is for the first time in racecourse of Sharjah Equestrian Club that two horses reached the finishline at the same time.
The race for the purebred Arabian horses saw the participation of 16 horses.
