Creative artworks on display in Sohar

Sohar: An exhibition for its members was organised by the Fine Arts Division in the Wilayat of Sohar.
The organisation is affiliated to the Omani Society for Fine Arts at the Sultan Qaboos Centre for Culture and Arts.
The function was organised under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Fatik bin Fahar Al Said, Secretary General of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in the presence of Sheikh Mohana bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah.
The exhibition saw the participation of 31 artists and around 70 artworks have been displayed.
The artworks covered all fine arts spheres, including photography, acrylic art, drawing, engraving, pottery work and other works.
Sayyid Fatik said that the opening of the second exhibition has introduced creative artwork of the members of the fine arts division in Sohar.
The exhibition reflected the tremendous efforts of the participants, he added.
Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Balushi, administrator at the Omani Society for Fine Arts spoke on the significance of the fine arts division and its efforts since inception.
He also pointed to the role it plays in execution of the programmes and activities of concern to the members.
The chief guest honoured the participants and those who contributed to the success of the event. It is worth mentioning that the exhibition would continue until December 27 and would be open for the public from 8am to 8pm every day.
