Oman health: Cancer charity bowling tournament raises more than OMR1,200

MUSCAT: More than OMR1,200 was raised at a charity fundraising bowling tournament held in association with the Oman Cancer Association.
Nineteen teams, each comprising eight people, raised a total of OMR1,260, with the entire amount going towards cancer research in the Sultanate of Oman.
The event was organised by the Sabre Travel Network, which provides software and networking solutions to travel agents, airlines, hotels and other operators associated with the tourism business.
“As part of ‘Give together,’ Sabre’s global giving programme, Sabre hosted a bowling tournament in order to raise funds and offered a matching amount for the Oman Cancer Association,” said Mr. John Mathew, Country Manager, Sabre Oman. “Sabre would like to extend their gratitude to our two top sponsors, Al Hashar and Universal Travel, along with National Travel and Tourism, Oman Wings and all other travel agents who participated and contributed to this noble cause.” The tournament was won by Zahara Travel, with Khimji House of Travel coming in second, and Marmul Travel finishing third.
