Oman condemns Russian envoy killing in Ankara

Muscat: The Sultanate strongly condemned the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Turkey and considered this act against the rules of international laws, norms and human ethics, according to the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry yesterday.
The Sultanate stressed the importance of full compliance of the international rules for the protection of diplomats and international representatives, as stated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961.
At the same time, the Sultanate expressed condolences and sympathy over this terrible accident to the family of the Russian ambassador, the Russian Federation, its government and the Russian people.
