#OmanPride: Do a kind deed with City Centre Oman’s festive campaign

Muscat: As the nation heads into a time of caring and giving, starting this week visitors to City Centre Muscat and Qurum will be able to assist underprivileged children by donating books, toys and other goods.
As part of this festive campaign, large, decorated boxes are being placed at both malls for people to donate items.
In an effort to put a smile on the faces of disadvantaged children, Majid Al Futtaim, parent company of City Centre malls, partnered with a group of leading non-government organisations in the Middle East to directly engage with unprivileged kids and find out what they want the most this festive season. The children, aged between three and nine years, said stuffed toys, LEGO games, books and sporting goods, were gifts that would make their festive wishes come true.
Apart from City Centre Qurum and Muscat, collection boxes will be placed in all 20 Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls in Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates, to allow visitors to ‘take a moment to give a moment,’ so that those less fortunate can experience the joys of the
festive season.
Alain Bejjani, chief executive officer of Majid Al Futtaim – Holding, noted, “At Majid Al Futtaim, we pride ourselves on the moments we create – be it for customers, communities, businesses or, in this case, those less fortunate. Each year, we look for exciting new ways to join our customers in sharing great moments during the festive season.”
“This year, we are asking all visitors to our shopping malls to take just a moment of their time to buy and donate something that will create a special festive memory for a less fortunate child. We hope this will be one more step towards sharing memorable moments with those who deserve them most,” he added.
After making a donation, people can visit givegreatmoments.com for more information about the campaign and to witness the impact of their donation on the children who receive them. They can also join the conversation about the campaign online using the festive-themed hashtag, #WrapAWish.
In addition to the collection drive at many malls in the region, Najm card customers can donate cash, while Carrefour customers will be asked if they are willing to donate change due to them when they pay for their shopping. Visitors to Magic Planet and VOX Cinemas will be able to donate tickets.
