Omanis in GCC states to vote in local polls

Muscat: Omanis residing in the GCC states along with students studying in the GCC countries will cast their votes today to elect their representatives in the municipal councils polls for the second terms.
The poll centres will be available at Oman embassies in the capitals of the GCC States and the Sultanate’s commercial office in Dubai.
Voters in the Governorates of Dhofar and Musandam will also cast their votes at the Common Elections Centre in Bausher on the same day, at Al Aula Basic Education School and for female voters at Thuraya Al Busaidi Basic Education School, in addition to the members of the elections committees in the wilayats of Muscat Governorate who will cast their votes at the Common Elections Centre in Bausher .
The common elections centre in Dhofar Governorate will be for voters from all governorates of the Sultanate and for the elections committees’ members in Dhofar governorate who will cast, today, their votes at Al Noor Basic Education School in the wilayat of Salalah, with an exception to voters in the wilayats of Dhofar Governorate.
The election centres in the Sultanate’s embassies in the GCC States and the common election centres will be open for voters from 8:00am to 6:00pm, today.
Members of the elections committees and affiliated committees in the wilayats of the Sultanate will cast their votes on the same day at the offices of the respective walis in the wilayats from 8:00am to 12:00 as they would not be able to cast their votes on December 25 scheduled for the municipal elections.
