Sayyid Fahd reviews relations with Arab leaders

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received Khemaies Jhinaoui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Tunisian Republic.
The Tunisian guest conveyed greetings of President Beji Caid Essebsi of the Tunisian Republic and the government along with their best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Sayyid Fahd commended the growing relations binding the two countries.
He expressed the Sultanate’s wishes of further progress and prosperity to Tunisia and its people.
The meeting comprehensively reviewed the good relations between the two countries and means of promoting cooperation between them in several fields, in addition to reviewing several developments at the regional and international arenas.
Khemaies Jhinaoui highlighted the importance of this visit. He also praised the 3rd session of the Political Consultations Committee between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and Farhad Khilif, Tunisian Ambassador to the Sultanate.
Sayyid Fahd also met with Jawad Anani, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Investment Affairs of Jordan, who is currently taking part in the 5th Arab-Indian Partnership Conference, being held in the Sultanate.
During the meeting, the Jordanian Minister conveyed greetings of King Abdullah II of Jordan and the government to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, along with their best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty.
The conversation during the meeting dealt with means of supporting the joint cooperation and promoting its economic areas.
The meeting was attended by Said bin Saleh Al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Zuhair Abdullah Al Nassor, Ambassador of Jordan to Oman.
Sayyid Fahd received Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman & President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, heads of delegations taking part in the 19th meeting of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism and the Executive Office, representatives of the Arab League and World Tourism Organisation. Sayyid Fahd welcomed the guests and reviewed the importance of the tourism sector in the development of countries as it plays an important role in the economic diversification and it has a positive effect on the social and cultural aspects. Sayyid Fahd expressed his appreciation to the role played by the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism in promoting the Arab intraregional tourism movement.
The meeting reviewed areas of enhancing the joint Arab action, as well as promoting the Arab strategy for tourism and preserving the architectural heritage in the Arab countries, in addition to activating cooperation with the Arab and international organisations for training of workers to support the competencies in this sector, besides taking part in the international events, such as exhibitions and seminar that are being organised for this purpose.
The participants expressed thanks to Oman for good preparation of this meeting, commending the remarkable progress achieved in the Sultanate in various spheres under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
